Testimonials

"I would like to take the time to say how proud I am of this young beautiful girl. She had the honor of bringing to life an amazing, unique character in our recent production of "JOAN" at the Pheasant Run in St. Charles. And I know everyone involved, and all our audiences, can agree when I say that she not only brought the character to life, but also became Joan herself. She put her all into this character and rehearsed endless hours for nearly 8 months preparing for this role. Not because she needed to, simply because she wanted to perfect the role and really make it her own. And I can truly say that I believe she did exactly that. She nailed it and portrayed the character flawlessly. From her singing, to her acting to all of the small things, she simply made this show one to remember. I personally have been in a very interesting position, because I got to be there from day one, when she picked up the script, to the final performance last night. And might I say, it was an honor to watch her grow and transform into this very iconic character. It was such a beautiful thing to watch all of her hard work come together. I remember there were days where she felt it was nearly impossible. I remember there were days where she wondered if she was the right fit. Geeze, I remember there were days, where she thought it was a mistake that she got cast as the role of Joan. But not once do I remember her giving up at all. And like I said from day one, 'it's going to be a challenge, but I know you are more than capable and more than talented to be able to pull off this role. Not just pull off, but to make it your own. I know you're going to do amazing things with this character and bring her to life... I believe in you.' And these last two weeks, she proved my words to be right. I really am proud of you. I got the special opportunity to watch this whole role come to life. And I got the opportunity to even help you along the way! Even though you clearly didn't need it, haha. All of your amazing, precious talents never fail to surprise me and leave me in awe. Your voice is truly one from heaven, your acting is beyond that of Broadway, and your commitment is truly something unreplaceable. I am very lucky to have been a part of this production with you. From portraying your father, to one of your guardian angels in the show, I got to see many different sides of your portrayal of Joan. And might I say it truly felt like I was speaking to her during all of our scenes. Congratulations Heidi. As one of our scenes quoted... 'Don't worry Poppa, I will be ok!!' 'I know, daughter, there are great forces at work here,... but there is also great strength... in you.' "

Testimonial written by Brian Louie Cruz (Joan's Father, Jaques, and Joan's guardian angel, St Michael, in "JOAN" the musical at Pheasant Run Resort in St Charles IL March & April 2018). Review written April 2nd, 2018.

Testimonials

"'She is strong. She is brave. And she is saved.' These are the last words monsignor revel whispers to Jaques as he leaves the jail cell holding his daughter, Joan. Strong, brave, these are the qualities you've embodied beautifully in this story. Some of it comes from your talent, but I believe most of it comes from a genuine place in your soul. It's been an honor sharing the stage and the journey with you, Ms. Heidi. God be with you, my child."

Testimonial written by Patrick Regner (Monsignor Ravel in "JOAN" the musical at Pheasant Run Resort Main Stage Theater in St. Charles IL.) Written in 2018.

Testimonials

"Then there was Heidi Reinhofer. No words can express her presentation of Joan of Arc. She internalized the role never once breaking character. At 21 she is a very gifted actor with natural born talent that can't be taught. She lives and breathes the part. Made me care about her journey so much I cried when she was burned at the stake in the final act."

Testimonials

"My dearest Heidi: As I began to type your name in the Facebook search bar, the title "sister" popped right up next to it. I'm sure that's something we set up as a joke somewhere at the beginning of high school, but it's really incredible how true it's turned out to be. If I ever had a sister, I would be proud if she were anything like you. My dearest Heidi, you have shown me over the past several years that grand things come in small packages. Your willingness to talk to people, to get to know them, to be friendly to everyone you come into contact with is truly beautiful. You shine onstage, but more importantly you shine in life. There's not a person I know who could honestly walk up to me and say that they thought you didn't care about them. Because you do care about anyone you talk to, and you go out of your way to show them so. You are strong and resilient, yet gentle and kind. You walk with an extraordinary confidence and I never have to worry whether or not you'll let people push you around because you won't. You surprise people so often with your mixture of elegance and spunk, and I love being there to witness people's first-time reactions to it. There is something truly remarkable about you, my dearest Heidi. You have been through much, you've made mistakes as all people have. But you have allowed both negative and positive things build you up rather than break you down. You're stronger because of them, and it's truly inspiring to see it. This is how I have always viewed you, Heidi. Sometimes we all need a little encouragement, sometimes we need to be reminded of who we are. And this is who you are. I love you for it every day. So chin up, my honorary little sister. The tough times will come but the harshness will pass. I'll believe in you, even when you can't do it for yourself. Keep shining. Love, Jillian."

"Heidi Reinhofer - Don't fall off the stage."

Testimonial of Triumph by Darryn Glass (Cast member of "JOAN" the Musical at Pheasant Run Resort Main Stage Theater in St. Charles, IL). Written in 2018.)

***A little background on what "Don't fall off the stage" refers to:***

Despite battling a chronic medical condition on the opening night of JOAN, Heidi still gave her all as the character Joan of Arc. Nearing the end of the second act, in the midst of singing her climactic ballad,... severe pain, nausea, and dizziness hit. With determination to finish strong, Heidi's adrenaline propelled her to the other end of the stage. Unfortunately, though, in the midst of propelling off adrenaline, Heidi's spacial awareness was a bit off. Heidi's footing had literally landed on the end of the stage itself right as she sang "Take my life-"! Despite falling off the stage and right onto the corner of the front row seating (which, thankfully was inaccessible to the public), Heidi did not break character... for in that moment,... she was still Joan of Arc. Without skipping a beat, Heidi kept going and used that real-time trial to channel her inner-warrior, propelling herself back onstage to face her ultimate trial head-on. Heidi's perseverance and dedication received a standing ovation at the finale, and, despite an injured leg, Heidi proceeded to conquer a full two weeks worth of performances following after. Most audience members thought that Heidi's fall off the stage was a part of the performance,... but only Heidi's family and the production team knew what really happened... and they still talk & joke about it to this day! A fall that could have been fatal turned out to be a testimony of triumph... and it wasn't just thanks to Joan's guardian angels... it was thanks to God Himself!
